This was another quick, cute read. "Juney B-ish" I can see it as a quick teacher read aloud, but I don't see many curriculum tie ins... what about you? Any suggestions?
I really enjoyed reading this "cute read." I think I would talk about self to text connections in this book. There are some math tie-ins with the stairs in the apartment building. Also, she refers to under her bed as the "black hole" and this may get a little discussion in science. You could also talk about the effect of pidgeon poop on building and why it creates a problem for structures. What are some ways cities combat the problem? Should Mrs. Jacobi being feeding the pidgeons Cheerios from her apartment? This book made me laugh out loud in so many places. Clementine is truly a energetic, loving, caring unique character.
